| All soaps are cured for at least 4 to 6 weeks. Keep soap on a well-draining soap dish and allow it to dry between uses and prevent moisture accumulation, this helps prevent it from becoming soft and mushy. Keep out of direct sunlight, out of extreme temperature and humidity. |
| Sodium Hydroxide is essential for making soap, a strong alkali that reacts with oils and fats in a process called Saponification. It is not present in the final soap product because it is fully consumed by the reaction which transforms the oils into soap. The soap is then allowed to cure for several weeks to harden, ensures that water evaporates and all lye has been used up. After the curing process is complete, the new soap is safe for use. |
